I am a friend of the footless,
I am a friend of all bipeds,
I am a friend of those with four feet,
I am a friend of the many footed!

Cocoa Spice Tea

Another favorite tea that i have a lot is Yogi Tea’s Mayan Cocoa Spice Tea. It is good black, hot or cold, and also with soymilk and sugar, for a special treat. Try it for the Christmas holidays, and also in summer with fresh fruit.

Sugar Plum Spice Tea

Last year around November, i found Sugar Plum Spice Tea by Celestial Seasonings at a health food store. I tried it and loved it. When i realized that it was a seasonal tea, i bought another box, which was quickly gone. This year as soon as i saw it, i bought four boxes, and the next week, i bought another three. Hopefully that will see me through the year. I’m looking forward to trying it in the summer. I think it will be great with summer fruit. Celestial Seasonings makes another three or so holiday teas, but this is my favorite.

From left to right:
Acai Mango Zinger – Celestial Seasonings (mild and tropical)
Red Raspberry – Bigelow (really tastes of raspberry, be careful not to get their raspberry black tea)
Chocolate Mint Truffle – Mighty Leaf (Absolutely delicious, but pricey: $8.99 for 15 bags)
Twig Tea – Choice (Japanese tea without caffeine made from tea twigs, really soothing)
Classic India Spice – Yogi Tea (chai without the caffeine)
Organic Spicy Ginger – Tazo (quite different from the India Spice, goes with Asian food quite well)
Lemon Zinger – Celestial Seasonings (a classic, adds a sharp, crisp flavor to the day)
True Blueberry – Celestial Seasonings (sweet and fruity)

I drink a lot of herb teas. I try almost everything i see, and have developed some favorites that i alternate.

Usually when i get up in the morning, i put on the kettle and make about 5 big cups of tea which i refrigerate unless it is really cold outside. I drink it with breakfast, lunch, and supper, and between those. For some reason, i like almost all tea cold unless it has soymilk and sugar, which i don’t usually use. Whenever i have the munchies, i have some tea, and with all the delicious teas to choose from, i often don’t want anything else. After a few weeks without sugar, i didn’t even miss that.
